One of these individuals is Vickie Kubena, a seasoned lease analyst on our land administration team with more than four decades of experience across some of the most prominent energy companies in the industry.

Where It All Began
Vickie started her career as an engineering secretary for Mosbacher Production Company prior to becoming their delay rental analyst and entering the land administration world. Over the years, she has developed an exceptional ability to manage complex lease portfolios, oversee lease and contract compliance, and ensure accuracy in systems ranging from spreadsheets to various industry software staples like Quorum, Land Vantage, and Excalibur.
Her career journey has included pivotal roles at Texas Petroleum Investment Company, Freeport McMoran Oil & Gas (formerly Plains), G2 Land Services, and Noble Energy, where she consistently brought value to due diligence projects, acquisitions, and divestitures. She has worked across major basins, including the Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and DJ, as well as multiple states, including Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming. She takes pride in mentoring colleagues, sharing her knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Today, as a Senior Lease and Title Analyst with PetroLedger, Vickie continues to demonstrate her expertise by processing obligations, maintaining leases and agreements, cross-referencing contracts, and leading critical land data cleanup projects to meet client demands and timelines.

What sets Vickie apart is not only her technical knowledge but also her collaborative connections. She remains eager to adopt new technologies and expand her skillsets. While most of her career was on the operator side, that has given her the knowledge and foresight needed to provide great service to our clients now that she is on the other side of the fence.
A True People Person
Throughout Vickie’s career, she has repeatedly mentioned that she has had the great privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and knowledgeable people in the oil and gas industry. She’s a people person through and through and has established great friendships along the way. She enjoys the day-to-day work, but it’s the people she works with that bring her the greatest enjoyment. In her downtime, she loves to cook, travel (may or may not be to Vegas!), attend concerts and plays, and have random adventures with her family and friends.

Kevin Kline is the Director of Land Administration in our Houston office. He's responsible for directing the set-up, analysis, and maintenance of leases and contracts, as well as communicating with clients about their operations. After first entering the industry in 2013 for a private operator, Kevin found his passion handling leases and contracts for clients, while assisting them during initial set-up, acquisitions and divestitures, and monthly obligation review. He's a people person and enjoys the variety of work to make each report as customizable as you desire. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with his wife and daughter.
