Shannah attended Texas University and Northeastern State, graduating with a BS degree in accounting. She has over 23 years of oil & gas accounting experience, including client account management, general ledger, financial reporting, revenue, joint interest billing, and owner relations.
Nan Carlson is our Director of Land Administration, coming to us from Associated Resources, Inc., where she's worked since she joined the team in 2004. She ended up in the industry by chance, seeing an open position at an independent office support company similar to ARI. However, her father was a landman so she may have been destined for the industry. She’s spent her career honing her skills in land and lease records, lease records operating systems, conversions, lease and title research, division order calculations, and record-keeping at various companies across the country. At one point, she was in charge of converting a past employer’s 20,000+ lease records to an in-house system, so she’s no stranger to large projects.
Grant Sparks came to PetroLedger after our merger with Associated Resources, Inc. His grandfather was a geologist and oilman, so Grant always knew he wanted to work in the energy industry. He has a BA in accounting as well as his MBA, and began his career with IBM Business Consulting Services supporting several energy companies. In 2015, he joined the ARI team. In his free time, he likes to travel and visit National Parks.
Joey has been in the oil & gas industry for 15 years, starting when he received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting in 2007. During his career, he worked as a senior accountant at Magnum Hunter Resources, an account manager of multiple owner interest accounts at Halff Energy, and as the controller for Maguire Oil Company. He earned his CPA certification in 2011, and he is a proud father of three boys.
Kevin Kline is the Lease Records Manager in our Houston office. He's responsible for directing set-up, analysis and maintenance of leases and contracts, as well as communicating with clients about their operations. After first entering the industry in 2013 for a private operator, Kevin found his passion handling lease and contracts for clients, while assisting them during initial set-up, acquisitions and divestitures, and monthly obligation review. He's a people person and enjoys the variety of work to make each report as customizable as you desire. In his spare town, he enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with his wife and daughter.
