As 2023 comes to an end, we are all taking time to reflect on the past year and everything that has happened. Here at PetroLedger we have had quite a full year, and we invite you to join us as we look back at some of our favorite memories.
It’s no secret that our company highly values getting out into the community to serve those around us and this year has been no exception. Keep reading to see some of the biggest ways we helped our community in 2023!
Packaging Meals at The Houston Food Bank
On June 15th, members of our Houston office took a trip to the Houston Food Bank. Working alongside other volunteers, they sorted and boxed a wide range of food items in order toaid in the fight against hunger. These boxes held a variety of food options, including nutritious foods like canned fruits and vegetables, and healthy snacks like granola bars and popcorn. With the help of some of our PetroLeaders, nutritious meals were delivered to families who needed them most!
The Houston Food Bank is a large, non-profit charity organization with a 40+ year lifespan that has grown to them delivering 150 million meals annually to their surrounding community. Learn more about their mission on how you can get involved here.
Walking To Find a Cure With St. Jude
Our Tulsa team participated in its 4th annual company walk on September 19th as a part of the St. Jude Walk/Run to support St. Jude's mission to find a cure during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! They had close to 30 people participate this year and raised over $2,600, including a generous donation from our partners in the San Antonio office to show their support. Overall, PetroLedger Tulsa has raised well over $10,000 in the last 4 years.
The mission of St. Jude's is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. You can find more ways to get involved with St. Jude's and other ways to give on their website.
Other Ways PetroLedger Gave Back in 2023
In March, our Houston crew visited Project C.U.R.E.'s Houston distribution center to help package life-saving medical supplies to be sent to families in need around the world. Project C.U.R.E. sends these supplies to hospitals and clinics in over 135 countries worldwide.
In November, our Tulsa office participated in their yearly tradition of celebrating the OU/OSU football game with an office potluck where they took the opportunity to give back by collecting food donations to benefit the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, in conjunction with Life Church.
Houston PetroLeaders walked to end cancer with the MD Anderson Cancer Center Boot Walk on November 4th. Our team had a great time contributing to this amazing cause. 100% of the proceeds from this walk go directly to support MD Anderson's mission to end cancer.
