On Saturday, our PetroLedger Tulsa Team put on their best running shoes and headed to OneOK field for the St. Jude Oklahoma Walk/Run to help fight childhood cancer. Leading up to the event, our team collectively raised $1,855 for the kids of the Children’s Research Hospital.
We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to our leadership, Avisto Capital Partners, for their additional $1,000 donation to this great cause. This is PetroLedger’s second year participating in St. Jude’s Walk/Run, and we hope to continue supporting these events in the future.
About St. Jude
The first St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was opened in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. Over its several decades in operation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals have been leading the charge against childhood cancer, with examples such as having a group of patients become the first acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients to ever be successfully taken off therapy in 1966, to discovering a link between sepsis during cancer treatment and long-term neurocognitive dysfunction in 2018. Outside of research, St. Jude has helped up to 8,000 children during their cancer treatments.
