Meet the Team: Jill Eckert

At PetroLedger, we get to know our clients pretty well. We want you to know who we are, too. There’s a lot more personality than you might expect to find at a financial firm, and while professionalism is our first order of business, creating a fun work environment is always close behind! Today we’d like to introduce Jill Eckert, the Administration Manager for our Tulsa office. We sat down with her to ask a few questions and get to know her a little better…

Can you tell me about your background?

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I lived in Corpus Christi for two years after getting married. Then I moved to Tulsa in 1985.  Once we moved, I raised 4 kids (all married and graduating from Oklahoma State University) and now I have 6 grandchildren. Two of our children live in Oklahoma, our oldest lives in Texas, and our youngest is in New Mexico.

We are diehard Steelers fans, and we try to go to see them play as often as we can. My hobby is scrapbooking!

What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

We just built a house and moved out of the city and into the country— just far enough out, but not too terribly far. We have a large pasture out back and space between neighbors, but we still live in a neighborhood. It’s peaceful and calming after running around all day at the office.

Now that Halloween has passed, what is your favorite candy or treat?

Anything chocolate with nuts or heath bars. Reese’s cups are always good too! I don’t eat them very often!

What is your specific role with PetroLedger, including your day-to-day activities?

I am the Administrative Manager for the Tulsa office. I take care of all the little details of the day-to-day at the office: getting groceries and general supplies, helping AP by gathering invoices for them to enter, organizing the courier schedule, and reviewing and mailing AP and Revenue checks.

In addition, I oversee the workroom and our State of the Art OMS system for revenue and JIB mailings, and I help onboard new O&G programming.  I also handle office repairs and maintenance, assisting as needed with anything that needs done. I like to keep things running smooth and organized.

If you won a lottery of $1 billion, what would you do with all the money?

I would travel with my husband around the world, but I’d also take family trips with my kids and grandkids. I’d probably buy everything that my 6 grandchildren want me to buy!
