Today we’d like to introduce Jordan Griffin, one of our Bookkeepers, and also one of our youngest team members. We sat down with our Bookkeeper Extraordinaire to get to know him a little better…
First, what is your specific role with PetroLedger Financial Services?
I am a Bookkeeper, which means I am responsible for any number of things day-to-day. I spend much of my time creating AP data entries, hand-keying revenue statements, and entering non-op JIB and deposit entries. Other days, I’m making calls to clients’ vendors to collect documentation, assisting with audit requests, and answering any client questions that might come in.
What is your background experience?
I joined the PetroLedger team shortly after graduating from University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business, so I am fairly new to the world of Oil & Gas accounting. However, I do have experience working in the world of business. I have worked as an Accounting & Finance intern for the car manufacturing industry, and as an HR Generalist Intern in the coil manufacturing industry, so I have adequate bookkeeper skills.
Why Oil & Gas accounting?
I am detail-oriented and always strive to put forth my best effort to the task at hand. I look for opportunities to learn and enjoy bringing this same growth and development to others.
What is the most satisfying aspect of providing outsourcing services to oil and gas customers?
I find satisfaction in a job well done. When I complete a project for a client in a timely manner, or respond to their questions, I see rapport being built with them. When our clients appreciate me and the service I provide, I know that reflects well on PetroLedger as a whole.
